Positive Feedback on My 2025 Teaching at Meijo U.

Feedback on my 2025 teaching is much appreciated, but you don't have to tell me I did a great job because I always do. Tell the Head of School. 🤔😉 

These are just some of the comments, mostly from 1st-year students. This year, the classes were lower level than in previous years, but their gains were better. 

Every class I teach is supported with: 

1. Abridged lesson plans posted in the Google Classroom, 
2. Photos of the board work of the day, 
3. Supplemental URLs 
4. Steady rhythm of teaching in each and every lesson. 

新たな単語を多く学べたし、専門的な単語まで覚えることができて満足した。 

I was able to learn many new words, and I was satisfied that I was even able to memorize specialized vocabulary. 

I was able to learn a lot of grammar. 

ドラマを作って、チームの子と内容を考えながらアングルを決めて撮影することが楽しかった。 It was fun creating a drama, deciding on the angles and filming while thinking about the content with the team members. 

Comments on the teaching style 

 ゲームなどを使って楽しく学ぶことができた。 

We were able to learn in a fun way using games and other methods. 

周りの人と英語でコミュニケーションを取る機会があったので良かった。 

It was great to have the opportunity to communicate with the people around me in English. 

教授は、自分の体験談や豆知識などを授業に組み入れて話してくれたので、脳に残りやすく楽しく学べた。 The professor incorporated personal anecdotes and interesting facts into the lessons, which made the information easier to remember and made learning enjoyable. 

Brian teacherのおかげで前期よりも英語が楽しくなりました！私は、もっとリスニング力をあげて自信をつけたいです。 Thanks to teacher Brian, I'm enjoying English more than last semester! I want to improve my listening skills and gain more confidence. 

ブライアンが優しくて楽しかったです！お父さんにしたいです！adventureのところが楽しかったです。英語でなんていうかわからないところもわかって、自己紹介などで簡単に使えるフレーズが増えたのでよかった。 Brian was so kind and fun! I'd love him to be my dad! I especially enjoyed the adventure part. I learned some English phrases I didn't know how to say before, and I've gained some useful phrases for introductions and such, which was great. 

日常でよく使うけど英語でなんて言うか分からないような英語を教えてくれたので、楽しかったしとてもためになったと思った。コミュニケーション、リーディング、ライティング、ディスカッションの中で一番好きな授業 です。 I enjoyed the class because it taught me English phrases I often use in everyday life but didn't know how to say in English. It was my favorite class among communication, reading, writing, and discussion. 

ブライアンが面白くて楽しく授業に参加することができました。ドラマの授業がとても大変でしたが、クラスメイトと協力して作ることは楽しかったです。毎週水曜日の英語テストは少し難しかったですが、多少は力になったと思います。 Brian was funny, which made the class enjoyable. The drama class was very challenging, but it was fun working with my classmates to create it. The weekly English tests on Wednesdays were a little difficult, but I think they helped me somewhat. 

この授業を通して印象に残ったことは、授業の際、教授が全ての会話や話において英語で話してくださったので、常日頃から英語を聞き取ることができ、英語を聞き取る力も少しずつついてきたかなと思いました。また、英語を聞き取る力が少しずつついてきたことで、会話の際に英語を話す力も少しずつついてきたかなと思うので、これからさらに英語を聞き、コミュニケーション能力を上げていきたい。 What impressed me most about this class was that the professor spoke entirely in English during all conversations and discussions, so I was able to hear English on a daily basis, and I think my listening comprehension has gradually improved. Also, because my listening comprehension has improved, I think my ability to speak English in conversation has also improved slightly, so I want to continue listening to English and improving my communication skills.
