In 2025, after a successful presentation at the JALT PanSIG Conference in Fukui on research that I conducted over that year, I was invited to write a chapter (chapter 11) on the topic of Ethical Artificial Intelligence Use in a series published by Candlin & Mynard ePublishing. The data covers hundreds of institutions and a host of standards and ethical guidelines. *I recommend that everyone purchase a copy for their institution's library so faculty members, adjunct lecturers, and administrators can read and consider the current situation, how to navigate fair use of AI, and what to focus on when developing ethically workable usage policies.
